Struggling to Make Money with Pay Per Click or Google Adwords?
If you are struggling at adwords or pay per click marketing then this is probably a common occurence. Who ever you get to click on your site or affiliate link just leaves without ordering anything from you.
This can be so frustating and you are probably tearing your hair out and are desperately trying to find out why this is happening.
The first thing you need to understand is that getting a click through to your website through your pay per click advertisement is only half the story. Some people see this as only half the battle won but I see it as way less than that because without an attractive and compelling story you are both wasting your time and money.
If you dont appeal to someone straight away once they click that ad of yours and visit your site then they will most likely never return. So Unless you get them to take action right then and there, you are probably never going ot come into contact with that visitor ever again. Effectiveley you are leaving money on the table.
My goal is to try and help you understand why this happening so you can prevent this from continuing in your adwords campaigns.
I see this all too often online with so many bussinesses and affiliate marketers that put together unclear wishy-washy landing pages that simply never get their prospects to act.
Why is their copy poor and why does it fall short?
The biggest issue is copy that is unclear, not concise and not to the point and that basically just ambles along without any direction. In the online industry reaserch has shown us that time is probably the most important factor.
To really succeed you need to create the feeling of urgency in your copy. Your message must make your prospective client or web visitor feel the need to act now because this is an urgent matter.
If your message does not convey urgeny you’re going to hurt your conversion rates and therefore your profitability which is why your in the adwords game, to increase profits right? Think of it like this, your prospective customers or clients are people just like yourself. They are for the most part ordinary every day people. One of our biggest constraints as human beings is time and it so often works against us both in our personal and in our professional lives.
Think about any product you have purchased online then go back and look at that company and notice how their sales process works. You will most likely find out that they have used some sort of time pressure to get your attention and put you into that urgent frame of mind. This is a good exercise and by looking at what other people do to create buzz you might stimulate your mind to create better and more compelling advertisements and sales copy for yourself.
Ok so how do I deliver a message that creates a real sense of urgency???
Lets say for example that you are operating in the health and fitness niche and you are selling a cool new piece of fitmmes equipment. You might say something like this.
“I know ‘Fitness Company xxx’ has just installed this new piece of equipment and they’re clients are getting killer results with it.Don’t you owe it to your clients and your company to get this right now before the rest of your competitors?”
Depending on what niche you operate in their is actually some cool tools which you can use to countdown the time of a bonus or specific sale that you are doing.
So for expample in this case you could have “25 machines left and conting this could be your last chance to get your this machine or equipment this year so don’t miss out!”
This is called a the time limit copy and is very effective in getting the attention of your prospects and is just one method of increasing your conversions and one that I have found extremely effective once I learnt and started implementing it.
