Traffic Exchanges

These are basiclally groups of people or networks whom exchange traffic.

It works on the principle that you sign up to get traffic from other people. In order to get this traffic though you have to check out other peoples webpages.

Those credits are equal to other people clicking on your site as well. In this sense you are exchanging traffic with all the other people in the network.

This kind of traffic is not exactly highly targeted but if done right its worth it.

Please note and this is probably the most important point with regards to this kind of marketing. Do not promote or try selling through traffic exchanges. Almost every one there is trying to sell something themselves and it is highly unlikely they are going to buy something while they are trying to sell their own stuff.

The right way to use traffic exchanges is to use a squeeze page that offers useful information to  people, preferably free information or at least at a very low cost. You then get them to opt in and once they are on your mailing list you can market different things to them over time.

Traffic Swarm is the company I use for my traffic exchanges and I think it’s the best one out there.

Now there are two ways you can do this:

  • Through a free membership where you build up your credits by clicking and looking at other peoples pages or
  • You can become an upgraded member where you will in effect have bought credits or payed for clicks through to your website.

If you have the money upgrade its saves time and by my cost benefit analysis is well worth the  fee which is preety cheap at traffic swarm.
